Charges: Forcible Sodomy, see other below

Maddox, 44, pleaded guilty to forcible sodomy, indecent acts, indecent liberties and the use of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 27 years in prison for sexually molesting two teenage girls.
Maddox, arraigned in September, was expected to plead innocent. Over the weekend, the two sides agreed to a pretrial agreement, in which the government withdrew and dismissed other charges and specifications, including rape, assault consummated by a battery, adultery and impeding an investigation.
Both teens testified about the crimes, which occurred between August 1999 and July 2002 in Virginia and Italy.
Most of the charges involved the older teen. She said the molestation started when she was 14, when Maddox climbed into a bathtub with her. The molestation continued for nearly three years.
The younger girl testified about the charge involving her, indecent liberties. She described an incident in which she was 14 and Maddox stepped naked into the shower with her.
During an unsworn statement, Maddox said that he had addictions to alcohol, sex and anger. He sobbed and called his crimes “a sin against God and his creation. There is no excuse for it.”.
In closing arguments, prosecutor Lt. Kevin Yusman said, “This is a case of a monster masquerading as an officer.”
Maddox was last assigned as an assistant maintenance officer for Commander, Naval Surface Group Mediterranean.
He received a 26 year sentence. He was to be taken to Mannheim, Germany, for detainment, and will be transferred to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
